Advanced Thermal Sciences Corporation (ATS) is a leading supplier of temperature control systems (TCS). Markets served include semiconductor/microelectronics, solar, laser, food and beverage, aerospace, military, and more.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality Manager in our Advanced Thermal Sciences Corporation (ATS) business located in Anaheim, CA.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Manager will Plan, coordinate and direct quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards and customer requirements
Develops, administers and maintains quality assurance procedures and activities required to ensure that the company's products are in compliance with quality standards.
Oversees and manages a staff of Quality Technicians, Inspectors and Quality Engineers.
Supervises visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of parts, products and materials to conform to established standards of quality, either in the raw state or after various stages of manufacturing.
Participates in Global Quality meetings with other ATS plant managers and ATS site Quality Managers.
Manages the Material Review Board, internal/external audits, and customer-mandated Quality reporting.
Improves quality assurance systems plant-wide through hands-on training, strong work ethic, and leadership by example.
Acts as the Management Representative and champions ISO9001 certification audits, training, and maintenance within the ATS, Anaheim plant.
Participates in design review meetings to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations.
Reviews quality control requirements with customer representative assuring compliance with requirements; works with customer quality control representatives to coordinate inspection and acceptance activities.
Performs special assignments related to product support requiring the gathering and analysis of data.
Establishes and oversees management of calibration procedures for instrumentation to assure traceability of instrumentation.
Performs and/or delegates activities to improve Supplier Quality.
Performs Loss Elimination, Risk Management, and Reliability studies.
Directly supervises exempt and/or nonexempt associates. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years experience supervising a Quality Assurance Department and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in effectively lead a cross-function/departmental internal team.
Strong background in Reliability Engineering and Supplier Quality.
Experience in training and coaching others in quality systems.
Experience in external/internal customer presentation and meeting facilitation skills to all levels of the organization.
Strong statistical background (including the use of Excel, Minitab, etc.), SPC/SQC and various quality based statistical and RCCA tools.
Able to thrive in a fast paced environment characterized by high growth.
Ten years’ quality assurance or quality engineering supervisory experience.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Manager and/or Six Sigma green/black belt certification is desirable.
