We are currently searching for a Accounting Analyst - Financial, Planning & Analysis to join our team in Annapolis, MD (IMS INC) (5010). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of the Global Airports Profit and Loss, balance sheet, and cash flow. You will work closely with other financial analysts and managers to understand the programs / platforms and the associated balance sheet assumptions.
Responsible for reconciling, understanding, and validating our financial data to support the monthly financial closing process, and will utilize Costpoint, BPC, and BI for analysis and reporting.
Focal point for BPC and BI.
Provide support to internal and external control and financial audits.
Consolidation and presentation of financial data supporting forecast, AOP, and SFP processes.
Provide detailed analysis of variances and summary of changes to support presentations to senior and executive leadership.
Assist with leading cash flow initiatives and perform ad-hoc analysis as needed.
Understand changes in balance sheet accounts to support the monthly closing process.
Ad hoc financial support as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or in the absence of degree 6 years of related experience.
Experience in cost accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and project planning.
Advanced knowledge of excel and other financial analysis tools.
Skills desired for success
Possess strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
