Rockwell Collins IMS Shared Service Accounting is seeking a Principal Manager to lead the existing statutory accounting team and take on a new role of supporting non-US income tax/ indirect tax for IMS legal entities. IMS currently oversees and supports over 80 entities worldwide and will continue to expand as we explore more global opportunities. This candidate will act as a consultant to the business units, helping understand regulatory and compliance requirements, consulting with third party providers and managing timely and accurate reporting. The candidate will report into the IMS Shared Service Accounting group and will have three direct report employees as well as work with international regional teams. This role requires a manager with a strong accounting background who has experience building cross functional teams. This role also requires a candidate who can think strategically and is able to implement process improvements.
Develop a strong tax and statutory accounting team that includes direct and indirect employees in multiple locations
Oversee support for non-US income tax and indirect tax filings
Oversee audits and statutory filings for multiple entities
Consult with business unit on new global opportunities
Manage relationships with third party service providers
Develop strategic plans to meet the changing demands of the business
Manage accounting and compliance requirements
In addition, the candidate will be responsible for developing team members, leading special projects, interfacing with leadership and supporting the business unit finance teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
4-6 year’s management experience
6-8 years’ experience in accounting for a large corporation
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Non-US income tax and indirect tax experience
International accounting/ statutory reporting experience
CPA a plus
