Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the construction, analysis, or management of software. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision.
Apply knowledge: Product domain, Requirements, Design, Development, Test and Release software processes, tools, methods and coding best practices with primary emphasis on software design and development.
Demonstrate an understanding of how to incorporate the appropriate RC processes and tools into product development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.
Design, code, integrate, regression test, test and document software in areas such as: software problem reports, change requests, software components, and software test scripts.
Perform software debugging using appropriate techniques and tools.
Performs in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification and validation for products and sub-systems.
Provides engineering estimates for own work on tasks similar to those previously performed.
Contribute to software engineering requirements capture, analysis and creation for well-defined software designs.
Individual job duties may vary.
Desired Skill Set:
6-8 Years of experience FMS on V&V / Development, SDLC Experience with Python, Ada/C , C++ Technical experience in Flight Mangement Systems, Avionics Software or related product design and development.
Serve as a technical expert providing technical guidance to the Team on the FMS and associated functional areas.
Experience working on the full lifecycle of DO-178 compliant development for avionics Software.
Exposure or understanding working in an agile teamwork environment
Collaboration with virtual Teams and team located in different geographies
Good at planning, monitoring and executing the project scope - while ensuring the quality of the work
Exposure to activities such as - failure Investigations, root causes analysis and implementation of corrective actions, lesson learned, issues and design standards updates
Must Have Requirements:
Avionics SW development and Verification
Flight Management Systems
S/W Verification and Validation
Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
Education Qualifications: BE/B-Tech/ME/M-Tech
