Seeking an Aftermarket Sales professional with in depth market and industry knowledge in the Commercial and Regional market segments. You will have the responsibility to grow the Services business by successfully prospecting new business, developing and executing pursuit strategies, and closing complex deals. As a member of the team, you will directly contribute to this expansion by working directly with European Commercial and Regional Airline customers.
As the direct interface to the MRO customer, you will be expected to identify the customers' needs and develop new-client relationships
Prepare pursuit and capture strategies and present to leadership as a key component of the business decision point process
Provide accurate and timely orders forecasting
Establish and manage orders pipeline
Achieve an orders capture goal with the timing necessary to achieve current year sales
Support regional account managers when needed such as key regional events, customer meetings, complex pursuits, etc.
Coordinate with other business units as necessary to maximize sales opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction
Network with key contacts within Collins Aerospace and outside own area of expertise, to ensure successful capture of new business
Participate in key regional tradeshows and promote Collins Aerospace brand and solutions
Qualifications / A successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or, in the absence of a degree, six years of related experience
Willingness and ability to travel in excess of 50%
Prior experience in the airline industry
Strong maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) knowledge and background
Key contacts at major airlines and airframe maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) service providers
Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and/or German
An advanced degree in a related field
Experience in aftermarket sales and support
Experience dealing with Commercial and Regional Airlines
Responsibilities for the account management, orders forecast and capture of Rockwell Collins products, systems and services for the assigned accounts within a given territory.
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Considered an expert in territory within the organization. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Provide accurate and timely orders forecasting.
Provide ROM and or/FFP proposals to the Customer consistent with the assigned level of Delegation of Authority.
Identify Customers' needs and new-client relationships.
Responsible for orders capture.
Follow-up on post sales.
Plan sales calls and close sales.
Support the business units' marketing organizations with accurate market, customer and competitive information.
Coordinate with other business units where applicable to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
International Business or International End Use Programs: Responsible for initiation of the PEJ to ensure the necessary export licenses are in place to support the order capture. Identification of Offset requirements and opportunities. Dealer Focal Point (where applicable). Facilitate interaction between dealers and program management & marketing. Initiate Commission Agreement Request Form (CARF). Establish dealer commission level, in agreement with Program Management. Understand the various Country pursuits, political pressures and procurement process. Keep dealers apprised on new products and organizational changes.
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. (Team Lead) Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
