Rockwell Collins Sr Software Engineer in Blagnac, France

As a Sr Software Engineer in this organization, you will participate to design, coding and testing activities of our ETC-4000, RMS-4200 and CTL radio control products that we are in charge of in France.

Key Responsibilities:

Significant knowledge in radio control product family in assigned portfolio.

System requirements understanding & decomposing into software requirements

Contribute to software engineering requirements capture, analysis and creation for well-defined software designs

Defining and designing software architecture on Intel 80196 and 8051 processors

Developing, integrating and testing embedded software (including firmware)

This position requires knowledge of software and systems engineering tasks including software requirements and architecture development, software design and implementation, function and integration testing.

Required technical skills:

A successful candidate will:

Possess a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline

Have at least 10 years of significant experience in low level software development in avionics domain

Have an extensive experience related to Radio control for radio communication, navigation & Surveillance

A strong working knowledge of C, Assembler51, Python and real time embedded software architecture

Have the ability to perform in all phases of the software engineering life cycle

Have knowledge of Software Engineering/Development Models

Possess knowledge of following Standards and Protocols (ARINC429, MIL-STD-1553B, RS-232, RS-485, serial through optic fiber)

Have the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (French Citizenship required)

Appreciated technical skills

Familiarity with code repositories such as SVN, CVS

Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management tools

Demonstrated experience in Avionics Development & Certification to DO-178B/C (DAL C)

Electronics knowledge

Familiarity with Agile principles
