The T&TI Engineering Department develops state-of-the-art test and training range products for cryptographic, datalink, networking, and command and control applications. T&TI Engineering is responsible for all product line and engineering tasks related to the design, analysis, test and certification of ACT systems (just like Top Gun), maturing products from concept phase through accreditation and factory production.

Job Responsibilities

The T&TI Software Development Engineering team is looking for a dynamic Software Engineer. The candidate will be a participant in the full software development life cycle on a software development team with the responsibility of developing embedded software from design through software unit test. The candidate will define requirements, design, code, test, integrate and document software of moderate complexity within software services, software components, software test tools and software test scripts. Prepare software builds for execution in a simulation environment, reference platforms and on the target hardware. Understands and utilizes the appropriate RC processes and tools during product development.

Basic Qualifications

Must Have Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline

  • Candidate must hold a current U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance or have held within the last 24 months. U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Embedded systems Ada or C/C++ software development experience (1+ years)

  • Experience following a well defined software development process (1+ years)

  • Motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills

  • Configuration management tools and processes experience

A successful candidate should possess the following (ranked):

  • Experience with multi-threaded real-time embedded applications

  • Experience in developing products for military applications meeting government security or safety standards

  • Experience with OOA/D architectures and design patterns

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work well with others in a professional team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while balancing priorities and schedules

A successful candidate may possess the following:

  • Cryptography systems or methods

  • TCP/IP network applications development experience

  • Linux OR Green Hills Integrity development experience

  • Background and/or knowledge of range test and training systems

  • Knowledge and cognizance of Live Virtual Constructive concepts

  • Experience with Agile development methodology
