Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the construction, analysis, or management of software. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision.
Capable of serving in a Scrum Master, Product Owner, PE, or similar leadership role.
Contribute to software engineering requirements capture and analysis in area of domain expertise.
Design, code, test, integrate, and document software of moderate complexity. Capable of building software for simulation and target hardware environments.
Able to identify the root cause of moderate to complex software issues and some systems issues using appropriate debug and analysis tools.
Capable of producing engineering estimates for individuals tasks. May contribute to Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Bid proposals and/or lead a software team in a Project Engineering role.
Demonstrates the ability to follow through on work assignments with little to no further prompting and raises any potential issues found to leadership.
Willingness to mentor and coach less experienced engineers
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
Excel working in a team environment, establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers
Desired (but not required) Experience:
Experience with C, C++, Model Based Development, or Ada
Experience or exposure with RTCA DO-178B/DO-178C or other formal development standards
Experience or exposure with ARINC-661, ARINC-429, ARINC-653/ASL/AFDX/Ethernet-Assets
Passion for aviation and/or aerospace
Interest and passion towards DevOps and continuous improvement
