Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach to the construction, analysis, or management of software. Uses independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities the majority of the time under general supervision.
Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) is seeking to fill a Software Engineer position with a talented individual who possesses an Engineering or Computer Science degree. AMT is the research arm of Operations and is responsible for anticipating and meeting manufacturing needs and providing impact across the entire lifecycle of Rockwell Collins products. This position includes the support of existing applications and the creation of new ones needed in the future. Examples of the types of project work that will be supported by this role include:
o Web based application development
o Information modeling
o Advanced visualization
o Immersive technologies (Virtual and augmented reality)
o Lightweight desktop visualization
o Gaming technologies
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal communication and teaming skills, good technical writing skills, and display the following character traits: passion for learning, creativity, and self-motivated.
Must Have Requirements: Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
US Citizenship or Green Card Holder
Experience with Python
Web applications development
