Working in the Internal Audit department provides great exposure to many facets of the Rockwell Collins organization. In addition, this position entails a variety of responsibilities and provides the opportunity to travel to Rockwell Collins locations throughout the world
Financial and operational information is accurate and reliable.
Company and employee actions are in compliance with policies/procedures, laws, regulations or contracts.
Financial, property and information assets are properly secured and safeguarded.
Resources are employed effectively and efficiently.
Operations and programs are carried out as planned, and results are consistent with Company goals and objectives.
Significant risks are appropriately identified and managed.
Perform and lead financial and operational audits to assess compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency of Corporate and Business Unit processes, policies and procedures and the adequacy of internal controls.
Evaluate the operating effectiveness of internal controls.
Prepare reports and formulate recommendations designed to improve controls and/or methods of operation.
Interface with various level of management on audit findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
Develop formal risk based audit programs focused on key risks and related controls for a given audit area or activity.
Support external audits as required.
Perform special projects as directed by Internal Audit Management
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card) is required
Experience working with SAP
This position requires the willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (could range annually from 0-40% travel, most likely around 20%)
Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and assess risk and exposures across a wide variety of business processes
Ability to develop risk-based audit programs focused on critical risk and control considerations
Demonstrated organizational ability, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple concurrent audits/projects
Proficiency in personal computers and desktop applications
Ability to work independently and in teams as the project needs dictate
Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) is highly desirable
A CPA/CIA or four years of experience in auditing is preferred
Business process audit/controls experience
Experience with operational auditing and government contracting systems
