B/E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwell Collins Inc., is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and solutions.
We design to manufacture honeycomb composite panels and have build to print capabilities, as well as the ability to provide value added services, and custom details including curved panels. Our panels are used in lavatories, furniture, inflight systems within the aerospace industry. As part of the Advanced Lavatories and Cabin Interiors team (ALCI) selected for the Boeing 737 Modular Lavatory, we manufacture the panels for this 10 year $800 million contract.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Supply Chain Manager in our Interior Product Systems business located in Corona, CA.
Reporting to the Business Unit Director, the Supply Chain Manager will manage, control and direct the activities and staff involved in the multiple functions of purchasing, material planning, stores, inventory control, inbound/outbound logistics, traffic, shipping and receiving.
Develops and maintains procurement policies which insure timely delivery of goods, equipment, materials and supplies at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards and specifications of the company.
Implements operating procedures concerning the selection and qualification of suppliers, processing of purchase requisition/orders, control of price, quality and delivery requirements.
Coordinates vendor search and selection
Negotiates major purchasing contracts, blanket orders and long term purchase agreements.
Provides for the development and implementing of inventory control systems to maintain and track the status of purchase orders, inventory levels and production requirements.
Supervises the analysis of marketing forecasts and preparation of related material forecasts to identify and plan for anticipated material requirement.
Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments including managing material logistics including import/export requirements.
Manages and reconciles daily cycle count initiative to include reporting and root cause analysis to improve inventory accuracy.
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including the following:
Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers to deliver positive value to the organization.
Experience with MRP / ERP systems.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure.
Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams.
Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace.
Strong business acumen
Experience with Epicor and/or SAP
