As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a General Accountant in our Integration Engineering business located in Everett, WA.
Reporting to the Controller, the General Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports.
Following general instructions and with discretion as to work details, performs accounting tasks of a difficult nature requiring an experienced, professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as inventory receipts, disbursements, expenses, applicable taxes, and jobs costing.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Prepares balance sheet entries in support of consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions.
Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Performs detailed accounting tasks requiring a basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Prepares journal entries, assists with month end close.
Maintains corporate ledgers, reconciles and analyzes specific general ledger and cost account ledgers.
Coordinates accounting matters with other departments such as Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Tax.
Interprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken.
Assists in the development, testing and installation of accounting systems, procedures and controls.
Engages in Lean activities.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Inventory transactions in both a moving average cost environment and/or standard cost.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
