The Water/Waste Systems division of Rockwell Collins is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Electrical Engineer in our Water/Waste Systems business located in Everett, WA.
Reporting to the Director of Research and Development, the Electrical Engineer shall participate in the development of new aircraft system designs.
Prepare and review detailed documentation for product design including BOM, circuit schematic, specifications, test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
Review LRU design concepts and supplier drawings for fulfillment of specification requirements
Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment
Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects
Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints
Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work
Performs other related duties as required.
Up to 10% of travel is expected for this position.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university
Five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Analog and / or digital circuit design experience for 28 V / 115 V or signals
Familiarity with commercial aircraft system design practices, electrical requirements, and component qualification requirements
Experienced with design analysis tools such as PSPICE, MathCad, Matlab / Simulink.
Lead root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation on electronics products
Familiar with commercial aircraft system communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, RS232, etc.
Working experience with Altium
