The Lavatories division of Rockwell Collins is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality Manager in our Lavatories business located in Everett, WA.
Plans, coordinates and directs a unit responsible for quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Develops, administers and maintains quality assurance procedures and activities required to ensure that the company's products are in compliance with quality standards.
Supervises visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of parts, products and materials to conform to established standards of quality, either in the raw state or after various stages of manufacturing.
Supervises the use of various kinds of gauges and measuring instruments and the application of standardized tests.
Defines test standards and specifies test equipment and procedures; may test apparatus and equipment for conformance to electrical, mechanical and other requirements using various kinds of electrical and mechanical test equipment.
Develops quality control and inspection procedures for receipt of materials, in-process and final acceptance activities.
Schedules and controls inspection activities.
Participates in design review meetings to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations.
Reviews quality control requirements with customer representative assuring compliance with requirements; works with customer quality control representatives to coordinate inspection and acceptance activities.
Reviews contractually required documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Performs special assignments related to product support requiring the gathering and analysis of data.
Establishes and maintains calibration procedures for instrumentation to assure traceability of instrumentation.
Performs other related duties as required.
Directly supervises exempt and/or nonexempt associates.
May also manage subordinate supervisor(s) who supervises exempt and nonexempt associates.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
Previous experience successfully leading Quality initiatives in the Aerospace industry.
Previous experience successfully managing a team of direct reports.
Experience working in ISO9000 and AS9100 regulated environments.
