As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Program Director in our Integration Engineering business located in Everett, WA.
Reporting to the VP of Programs, the Program Director directs the activities of product lines / projects / programs involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time fame and funding parameters. Monitors the product line / program / project from initiation through delivery.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of engineering and manufacturing processes, together with high level understanding of program management in an Aerospace / Industrial project environment.
Demonstrates a high degree of commercial awareness, combined with a broad understanding of business operations, in order to provide a strategic overview of B/E Aerospace activities in meeting customer needs.
A good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning systems and its application to the management of B/E Aerospace operations.Works with the Vice President of Program Management to review the program management processes and continuously improve them.
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for assignment of project personnel.
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports as appropriate.
Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
Responsible for overall profitability of assigned programs by impacting design direction, supply chain initiatives and make versus buy decisions. Lead negotiator for all commercial and contractual terms and change orders with the customer.
Responsible for business development activities for assigned programs or segments.
Develops sound business plans and business cases. Builds strong customer relationships and demonstrates ability to influence customer decisions.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and twelve-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word; Excel; Access; Visio; PowerPoint; Project
Previous Aerospace Program Management experience required.
- Certified Program Management Professional (PMP).
