As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Test Technician in our Lavatories & Water Waste Systems business located in Everett, WA.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Supervisor, the Test Technician assembles, fabricates and develops test equipment for and executes testing of aircraft components under the direction of engineering.
Sets up and executes testing of test units and components under direction of engineering
Monitors testing and records test data for development, regulatory requirements, standardization, and/or quality control of product
Develops and records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method
Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications
Reviews test plans, project instructions and drawings to develop requisite test support equipment or structures necessary to execute testing
Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, electromechanical and servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments
Drafts detail drawings or sketches for parts fabrication by machine, metal or wood shops
Assists in developing test specifications, procedures, or objectives and in developing potential solutions to design challenges such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts and/or subassemblies
Maintains test area. Tools, tooling, hardware, test units, test equipment, and office equipment are kept neat and organized on a daily basis
Performs other related duties as required
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with FAA manufacturing guidelines and regulations preferred but not required.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
