B/E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwell Collins Inc., is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and solutions.
Nestled in the heart and hills of West Virginia’s most scenic surroundings, is SMR Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of B/E Aerospace, Inc. SMR designs and manufactures a variety of custom products for the aerospace, military, industrial and marine industries. SMR is located in Fenwick, WV - just east of Summersville, WV.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager will provide accountability for the Fenwick customer base including the development of individual account strategies to support internal bookings and sales goals. The Sales Manager will implement efforts in accordance with business marketing/sales plans to achieve sales goals in assigned product categories. The role frequently consolidates support functions to provide efficiencies of scale.
The Sales Manager will exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, act as a conduit to inform upper management of market conditions and account activity to achieve sales goals and resolve technical problems.
+ + Responsible for overall sales goals for their category
Devise plans to counter act competition and submit for approval to Sr. Management
Assesse market data and implement sales strategies; identify business opportunities, new product offerings, and pinpoint problem areas.
Proactively call on all accounts (domestic & international) and assist sales force where appropriate.
Provide weekly call reports.
Manage and maintain account travel schedule; including trade shows and conferences
Collaborate and travel with distribution sales force to seek and close revenue opportunities
Identify decision makers and develop strong, widespread, working relationships within the account that will enable the creation of bookings opportunities
Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and five (5) years of relevant experience -OR- an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience.
Mathematical proficiency. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
