JOB TITLE: HR Administrator (Temporary up to 18 months)

DEPARTMENT: HR

RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior HR Generalist

SALARY: Negotiable based on experience plus excellent benefits.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week. The post holder may be required at times to work outside his/her normal working hours for the effective performance of the duties of the post

Key Purpose

The successful candidate will operate as a key member of the team providing support in a range of activities such as recruitment and selection, on-boarding and off boarding, health and wellbeing, attendance management, performance management, training and development and pay and benefits. A significant part of this role will be maintaining and upgrading HR systems and creating HR analytics.

This is a varied and fast paced HR role which requires excellent organisation and communication skills, problem solving ability and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update departmental systems, spread sheets and monthly metrics ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

  • Develop ad hoc reports for the HR department and other business functions.

  • Maintain HR systems helpdesk to service level agreement.

  • Troubleshoot HR systems.

  • Run reports, analyse data and provide weekly updates for HR Business Partner meetings.

  • Co-ordinate and provide administration support in all core HR processes; recruitment and selection, on-boarding and off boarding, health and wellbeing, attendance management, performance management, training and development and pay and benefits.

  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings and site visits.

  • Handle employee and manager queries on wide range of HR related policies, procedures & systems.

  • Foster continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing improvements to processes where possible.

  • Ensure all records within the department are dealt with in accordance with the Company’s policies and data protection legislation.

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a minimum of one years’ experience working in a comparable HR administrator/co-ordinator role.

  • Educated to A ‘Level Standard or equivalent.

  • Well-developed IT skills, with particular focus on Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in collating, analysing and illustrating data using Excel and other HR information systems.

  • A minimum of one years’ experience of using a HR personal information management systems (e.g. TMS, PAMS).

  • Positive can do attitude with the ability to prioritise tasks, provide solutions and work within tight deadlines.

  • Have well developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hold or working towards a CIPD qualification.

  • Hold a relevant degree qualification.

  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a comparable HR administrator/co-ordinator role.

  • Experience of booking and co-ordinating training and development initiatives.

  • Experience of completing the Fair Employment Monitoring Return.
