These services include spare parts supply and repair services across all classes of seat whether it is Super First Class, Business Class or Economy Class.

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Repairs Technician person in our Aftermarket Services business located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive repair work. Responsible for the repair and assembly of parts within the Repairs Centre to the standard required by the customer.

The suitable candidate will have a strong assembly background gained in a low to medium volume manufacturing or repair environment. They must be result driven and have a basic understanding of business processes.

Specific duties will include :

  • The repair and assembly of all third party spares parts that pass through the Repairs Centre.

  • The ability to fully understand and adhere to all Company health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Help maintain satisfactory CRD targets set for the SAO Business.

  • Support the Continuous Improvement initiatives and able to generate new idea’s to support CI culture and lean manufacturing methods and techniques with in the Repairs business.

Responsible for Rework/Repair of parts within the Repairs Centre:

  • Is focused on achieving the required amount of work at all times.

  • Mechanical assembly to engineering drawings, using a variety of mechanical fasteners.

  • Installation of electrical looms.

  • Bonding of foam and plastic parts.

Responsible for the quality of their own work:

  • Reporting any defects to supervision.

  • Ensuring that adequate information is available to complete the task.

  • Requesting advice from supervision when unsure of the task or the required quality levels.

Responsible for working safely:

  • Understands and fully complies with all of the company health and safety policies.

  • The ability to demonstrate a good duty of care both individually and as part of a team.

  • Maintaining the traceability of all components and assembly parts.

  • Packaging of finished goods in line with recognised industry standards for air cargo.

  • Responsible for using Continuous Improvement techniques to remove unnecessary waste from all day to day activities.

  • Any other reasonable duties
