As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Certification Engineer in our Beverage Maker Products business in Lenexa, KS.
Reporting to the Certification Engineering Supervisor, the Certification Engineer will research, plan and execute FAA certification process. Perform standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.

Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
Represents the certification team in design reviews.
Compiles certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.
Reviews and approves design changes from a certification perspective.
Leads the certification test activities such as Environmental, Pressure, Structural, Flammability testing etc.
Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from four-year college or university with three (3) year related experience and/or training or a Master's degree and one (1) year of related experience and /or training: or equivilent combination of education and experience.
Familiar with FAA airworthiness requirements.
Three (3) years of functional work experience.
Prior working experience with aircraft interiors.
Familiar with Requirements Management
