As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Quality System Engineer in our Beverage Maker Products business located in Lenexa, KS.
Reporting to the Quality Engineer Manager, the Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation, management, and completion of internal quality audits of Quality System, parts, and assemblies.
Managing corrective and preventive actions assuring proper root cause using tools like 8D, PPS, 5 Why methodologies
Support departments in creating, revising Procedures and Work Instructions
Legwork for the head of quality for regular reviews of the management system
Lead preparation for customer and regulatory audits
Prepare and accompanies external audits by customers and authorities
Creates and maintains quality/business documentation
Analysis and statistical processing
Develop a site quality system with the potential for this to become a leadership role across multiple facilities in multiple continents.
Develop a quality system that is compliant with EN/AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14, FAA Part 21 & Part 145, FAA Production and Repair Organizations
Maintain the interdependency of the quality system from the manual to the work instructions and back up as new documents are created
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in the quality sector
Prior experience as an Internal Auditor for AS9100 or ISO9001
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
Auditor of ASQ is preferred
Certification by ASQ Quality Engineer, Quality Manager preferred.
