Rockwell Collins is the premier global supplier for VHF and HF communication equipment for commercial aircraft. Hiring talented and motivated software engineers is key to our company's success. We are currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer/Project Engineer to join our CNS Communications department. The candidate will work with customers, engineering management, program management and developers for hardware, software and firmware, production, and subcontractors to provide solutions and support for both domestic and international customers. We are seeking individuals with the technical and leadership skills to help enhance communication products for both new and established products and systems.
This Sr Systems Engineer/Project Engineer - COM Collateral will be responsible for systems investigations, customer interfacing, root cause analysis, and project execution for several collateral products. Responsibilities include:
Capturing systems requirements
Creating and tracking project schedules
Supporting factory, installation, and field issues as needed
Managing and releasing certification documents
Communicating status with multiple program offices
Bidding for new variations of existing equipment
Proactively managing obsolete parts
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.
Experience in systems or electrical engineering
Solid understanding of system engineering methodologies
Experience with avionics certification such as DO-178B/C, DO-160, DO-254 etc.
Previous project engineering experience
Previous Experience with subversion, Jira, and DOORS
The candidate should also possess the following capabilities:
