We are seeking a radar systems engineer to support the design and development of the next generation of advanced airborne radar and weather radar products. The radar systems engineer, under the guidance of a Sr Systems Engineer or Project Engineer, may participate in several aspects of development including requirements capture, design, test development, and validation. In addition to participating in design, the radar systems engineer will support current product lines through fault isolation and system performance improvement activities.
Contribute to the system design process by providing input into, and support for, validating and verifying subsystems, reviewing detail design documentation, participating in internal and customer design reviews and following rigorous Rockwell Collins quality processes and best practices.
Along with a Sr Engineer, support the analysis and evaluation of lab test data captured during testing and assess the robustness of the system design, providing detailed test reports.
Producing and maintaining test records that meet the exacting Rockwell Collins and regulatory requirements.
Prepare status and technical reports as required
Generate and participate in formal documentation reviews.
Work within stringent development processes and guidelines.
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline, preferably Electrical or Computer Engineering
Writing / debug and performing test procedures in a lab environment
Understanding and decomposing requirements for use in a product/system design
Ability to present to small groups of technical and non-technical people
Knowledge of principles and techniques commonly used in development of embedded micro-processor/DSP products and systems.
Skilled user of engineering tools such as MS Excel, MatLab, MSWord, ALM , Clearcase, ClearQuest, and DOORs
