Job Summary

Plans, schedules, and routes inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments. Provides missing import foreign trade data to U.S. Customs broker.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates import compliance activities. Provides missing import foreign trade data to U.S. Customs broker. Leads strategic planning sessions. Documents processes and makes recommendations for improvements. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Decisions may affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization.

  • Interacts with internal and external customers, brokers, shippers, and manufacturers. Communicates with both foreign and domestic customers. Exhibits knowledge of industry practices and leads the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

  • Coordinates freight bill processing, files claims, audits freight bills, and makes corrections. Resolves freight billing issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Systems, Business, or Logistics

  • 2+ years of experience in transportation operations.

  • Expertise using MS Office Suite (Access, Excel), Edicomex, Anexo 24 (Vastera or equivalent system as Milenium), Anexo 31, SAAI and SAP

  • English 80%
