Job Responsibilities

  • Managing all phases of programs from inception through completion; maximizes value delivery for projects with the portfolio by ensuring successful project execution, value-added accomplishments and lean processes. Adheres and contributes to project management methods, standards, processes, tools and templates to ensure consistency and communication across the program

  • Accountable for project performance and success in terms of requirements traceability, derivable quality and timeliness, risk/issue management, schedule and budgets

  • Prepares and elaborates project plans, estimates resources and time considering risks, skill set, dependencies and constraints.

  • Directs, monitors and controls project execution, and provides status and visibility to management and stakeholders for all active projects in the portfolio

  • Collaborates with other project leads and community to enhance management processes and advance the professions

  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes

  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms and conditions of contract

  • Acts as primary customer contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss costs, schedule and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test

  • Develops new business or expands the product line with customer

  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and scheduled, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and project success

  • Ability to represent self in a professional manner and represent the company image

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Ability and willingness to train and groom others

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • PMP certification is preferred
