B/E Aerospace's Shanghai Facility is a Repair Station for all galley air chillers, refrigeration and galley insert equipment currently used by airline operators throughout the world. Our strength lies in the strong teamwork seen throughout all levels of the facility. We are the industry leader in new product development in fields such as advanced compressor design, thermoelectric devices application and other complimentary galley products in coordination with other B/E Aerospace facilities.

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Technician / Engineer in our Repair Station located in Shanghai, China.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Repair Station Supervisor, the successful candidate will repair, modify and services a variety of company products and components. Analyzes and solves all types of system problems.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides support to customers in solving technical problems incurred in the installation or operation of company products; consults with customers regarding pre and post-installation problems; may review customer equipment interface requirements.

Conducts orientation and training of customer personnel in the technical operation and maintenance of equipment; may conduct technical seminars and training for custom or company personnel, as well as informal on-the-job training for other field service staff members and customers.

Troubleshoots and diagnoses system/equipment interface problems during installations.

Performs preventive maintenance, modifications and field changes to installed equipment as necessary.

Conducts startup, cut-over and check-out activities on newly installed systems.

Prepares operations and malfunction reports and associated documentation.

Performs modification and field change to installed equipment.

Assists engineering in determining and solving equipment design problems, evaluating product performance and conducting field trials.

Provides support in the conduct and performance of equipment/system acceptance testing following installation.

Performs preventive maintenance, modifications and field changes to installed equipment as necessary.

Perform other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.

Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.

Must have experience with basic electro-mechanical device operation, disassembly and assembly.

Able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Knowledge of mechanical unit operations.

Ability to understand and use simple aviation and refrigeration terminology.

Cognizant of applicable regulations, customer/manufacturers requirements associated with the units.

Knowledge of Micro office software

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

General Microsoft Office skills

Ability to interact with high levels of internal and external management

Prefer at least one year expeirence in aviation industry or two year related job experience
