Job Summary

This position is responsible for the coordination of production plans, master production schedules and assembly schedules for assigned product families to support sales plans and achieve division objectives for inventory levels, productivity, manufacturing cost and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, coordinates, and monitors top level products through the complete production cycle. Management of end item master production schedules; plans for finished goods inventory. Provides mentoring and coaching to less experienced Schedulers. Assignments are moderately complex and involve resourceful problem solving skills.

  • Coordinates and leads the new products transition process and TL material planning.

  • Interface with Order Administration to resolve customer sales order exceptions. Processes short leadtime requests from a variety of customers including RCS, Manufacturing, Engineering, and LCVS Managers. Coordination with Procurement Specialists and Buyers on short-lead time customer requirements. Analyzes business processes and brings forth ideas with plans for implementation.

  • Interface with both Manufacturing and Marketing through facilitation of the Demand, Planning and Execution process--Organizes and leads the DP&E meetings. Participates in the MRAP meetings. Exercises sound judgments on inventory decisions; erroneous actions could result in excess inventory affecting total company profit.

  • Communicates effectively with various levels of management and personnel from all business functions. Networks with internal leadership and develops external relationships with others in Production Operations and Scheduling.

  • Manage material requirements planning (MRP) accuracy through exception processing; manage and resolve data integrity issues, establish root cause for data issues and develop training materials for instruction.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Candidate should have Production Planning and Scheduling

and MRP experience.
