Our Philippines facility, being the first B/E manufacturing site in Asia, is engaged in manufacturing and assembly of Lavatory, Galley and Galley Insert products for the commercial aircraft segment. Due to the growth of products being manufactured in the Philippines, we are looking for well-rounded, passionate and committed individuals to join the organization as a Eng II - Design (Electrical).


This position is located in our Batangas, Philippines facility.


Job Responsibilities

The Eng II - Design (Electrical) has the following duties:

  • Providing on time and accurate support to Operations electrical requirements (standards and process specifications).

  • Participate and/or reviews and analyzes design requirements for electronics packaging for system integration, interconnection, testability, manufacturability, maintainability and other specified parameters.

  • Direct contact to REF, AW for electrical related concerns on Refrigeration and other electrical systems.

  • The design/modeling and detail of a variety of components in order to meet the programme requirements

  • Designing fixtures, cutting tools, shop aids, gages and other tooling to support production in REF

  • Managing and meeting cost and weight targets

  • Communicating effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers, translating technical information (REF AW (US); REF Philippines)

  • Participating in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process

  • The selection and application of materials and processes appropriate to each design element

  • Ensuring the successful integration of each design element with the product as a whole

  • Following and contributing to the development of the Best Practice guidelines as laid out in Quality documentation

  • Checking engineering design packages

  • Generating and/or revising specifications

  • Participating in the validation of the product (using such methods as prototyping, test, DFMEA)

  • Compiling compliance matrix to customer specification requirements

  • Guiding, mentoring and advising other design engineering staff. Be one of the resources for training Unigraphics and Basics of Teamcenter applications in Engineering.

  • To help produce engineering quotes to specifications or customer repair demands

  • To help in manufacturing processes documentation such as electronic Work Instructions (eWIs, MBOM, eBOM, etc.)

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year College or university; and up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in the aerospace industry.

  • A good knowledge and demonstrated application of Unigraphics UG/NX.

  • A good knowledge and demonstrated application of Teamcenter or other similar PLM software.

  • Previous experience with effective application of tolerances and GD&T.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office products.

  • A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture to be employed such as: Machining, sheet metal, Casting, Vacuum forming, Injection molding and Composite materials.

  • A good understanding of manufacturing capabilities and limitations, methods of assembly employed by operations, material selection, protective treatments and best practices for the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to write professional reports, correspondences, and procedures.

  • Ability to perform basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry functions.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

  • Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Experience in electro-mechanical system design, analysis and troubleshooting.
