As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including an Expeditor II in our Machine Products Group, located in Westminster, CA. This division of B/E Aerospace specializes in high-quality, complex components, assemblies, kits, gears, precision and gearbox assemblies, and complex machined parts for commercial and military aerospace applications.
+ + Supports Sales with the expediting of work orders that are top priority and ensures they are processed and shipped in a timely manner. All issues concerning work orders unable to be shipped are communicated back to Sales in an expeditious fashion.
Work performed in one single geographic location
Limited supervision is needed
Responsible for orders with high complexity and urgency
Intermediate decision making skills needed
Constant interaction with the different positions in the warehouse as well as with other functions such as Sales and Quality
Assigns work orders throughout the day to expeditors via Cardex applications and ensures work balance is appropriate to fulfill all requirements.
Addresses/fixes issues associated with AOG orders and communicates response back to Sales
Supports with the processing of past due orders on a proactive basis via the open order report.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ + High School Graduate or GED
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in a warehouse environment, ideally an internal promotion.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Expertise and awareness of internal processes and key contacts is preferred.
