As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Flammability Test Technician in our Integration Engineering business located in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.


The Flammability Test Technician handles the administrative, clerical, reporting, customer coordination, and testing functions associated with flammability testing conducted for the business unit. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter with a positive attitude and is looking to grow with the business.


  • Determine customer expectations with respect to delivery of test coupons and customer receipt of reports, and meet or exceed expectations and commitments.

  • Open flammability test projects

  • Receive & log in test coupons, verify adequacy of accompanying paperwork

  • Coordinate with the customer to resolve any paperwork issues

  • Schedule test coupons for conditioning time and test time, while respecting test requirements and customer expectations.

  • Load test coupons into conditioning room / conditioning chamber

  • Conduct flammability test per documented procedures.

  • Use basic test equipment and instrumentation such as stopwatch, rulers, weigh scales, chart recorders.

  • Legibly record test results on test data sheets.

  • Coordinate with Company flammability specialists

  • Assemble test data sheets and test coupon records into flammability test reports.

  • Prepare correspondence and coordinate transmittal of test data to the customer.

  • Initiate invoicing for flammability test projects

  • Dispose of tested coupons

  • Monitor condition of test lab / equipment, and bring any requirements to the attention of management. Maintain test lab and conditioning room in an orderly condition.

  • Prepare Flammability Test plans when required.

  • Other duties as specified by supervisor.


  • Diploma from a two-year college or technical school.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relay information to others effectively.

  • Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills.

  • Detailed and organized with the ability to multi-task and meet customer demands.

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer applications quickly and efficiently.


  • Some background in aviation or relevant experience / education is preferred

  • Flexibility in dealing with changing schedules and priorities

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities.

  • Ability to cooperate with other employees ensuring a smoothly functioning and efficient office environment.
