As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Certification Engineer in our Seating Aftermarket business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Certification Engineer will research, plan and execute the FAA certification process involved in the redesign, upgrading, reconfiguration and modification of commercial aircraft.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform documentation, monitoring and testing

  • Perform a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices and programs of the company.

  • Using readily available clear and direct references, provide straightforward solutions to problems.

  • Collect and evaluate data, and develop plans for assignments involving design application.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering

  • Competence with Microsoft Office suite to include MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • On-the-job experience in design engineering or manufacturing engineering

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace.

  • Experience working in large organizations with a geographically dispersed workforce.

  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
