As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Financial Analyst in our Interior Systems business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst will assist in preparing economic/financial research and analysis for use in the development of business strategies and tactics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes tasks in creative and effective ways. Consistently works on complex assignment requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.

  • Makes recommendations for new procedures. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader on assignments.

  • Assists the Program Analyst in planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling program related activities on contracts of a significant size and/or more complexity, that requires extensive customer financial reporting.

  • Reviews project data prior to inputting data into SAP, as well as calling out reports and turnaround documents. Troubleshoots potential issues with Program Analyst guidance.

  • Extracts data from SAP, establishing spreadsheets for analysis and review by Program Analyst. Demonstrates high degree of proficiency with PC tools.

  • Works closely with the Program Analysts, Sales Order Entry, Engineering, Contracts and Program Management, along with others functional areas and could involve external customer interface.

  • Other adhoc financial analysis and reporting as business requires.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient with PC tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Problem solving skills involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, clients, customers, and the general public.
