As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manufacturing Engineer in our Seating New Equipment business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide engineering support to the assembly production lines. Solve technical issues across a wide range of functional areas with a significant focus on being the liaison between the manufacturing site and the design engineering group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the Integrated Product Team and develop a strong understanding of the design intent

  • Provide support to the assembly production lines to ensure the design intent is met

  • Troubleshoot technical issues on the production lines and make recommendations to the design engineering team for long term resolution

  • Define the impact to the manufacturing site when the design is changed

  • Identify the root cause of any issue impacting the production line and contribute to the solution

  • Develop jig and fixtures to assist production line with a focus on reducing cycle time

  • Provides production floor and assembly support in technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, engineering change notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties and specifications

  • Act as the liaison between the manufacturing site and the design engineering group; Interpret and communicate the impact of engineering change notices to the appropriate functional groups

  • Compiles and evaluates test and production data, prepares technical analysis, recommends manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes

  • Provides input to new product introduction plans, updates to process specifications and procedures, development of production aids and assembly fixtures and provides MRP support, specifically with SAP

  • Performs other related duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including the following:

  • Experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with TeamCenter and 3D modeling with some design background

  • Experience with SAP, or similar ERP system

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
