Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality or business management system training requirements designed to measurably improve associates’ skills and competencies identified as necessary to meet the company’s business objectives and to adhere to all applicable regulations and Lean Manufacturing principles. Serves as a resource regarding quality issues, problem solving, training and continuous improvement efforts.
Be a key participant in continuous improvement efforts such as Lean/Continuous Flow projects and Quality Site Review meetings
Ensure training documentation and record keeping meets all requirements. Participates in all necessary compliance audits
Design training curriculum with a hybrid approach focusing both upon traditional academic learning coupled with hands-on training instruction to ensure adherence to quality system requirements and lean six sigma manufacturing techniques
Maintain record keeping system (LMS) to track what training has been completed, and what is due so that a schedule can be developed and distributed
Performs training needs analysis to identify the knowledge, skills and competencies required to complete the tasks efficiently and effectively based on assessment of current production metrics and gap analysis
Continually evolve training curriculum to meet production needs in terms of quality issues, new product launches, or other directional changes
Identifies and qualifies additional internal instructors, as well as supports their development of appropriate curriculums and materials and provides feedback through auditing
Provides input to the development of the business training objectives and budget
Performs other related duties as required
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); Minimum 3 years quality/QMS or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of AS9100, demonstrated ability to write processes in support of these certifications
Demonstrated ability to support multidiscipline teams including software, electronics, and mechanical aspects of product development.
Experience in avionics product development or similar environment where regulatory oversight is integral to development processes.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
